Ed Sheehan, president and CEO of Concurrent Technologies Corp., has been named to Pennsylvania Business Central’s annual top 100 list of executives recognized for their business and economic development leadership in the state.
CTC opened in August 2017 the Center for the Advanced Nuclear Manufacturing in Pennsylvania under Sheehan’s purview, according to his profile information published Jan. 26 in the business journal.
The U.S. Nuclear Infrastructure Council chose CTC to operate CANM that seeks to support small-scale nuclear plants through production of compact modular reactors.
The company secured a contract in November 2017 from NuScale Power to produce a prototype steam generator technology through the company-run CANM.
Sheehan is a board member of the Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial and serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.
The more than 37-year program and corporate management executive has participated in the development and operation of several professional services and manufacturing companies.
