Frank Helmick, senior vice president of the mission solutions group at SOS International, has been appointed to the International Stability Operations Association’s advisory board.
SOSi said Monday Helmick will work with other ISOA advisory council members, executive staff and board of directors in efforts to help formulate and implement the association’s strategic vision.
ISOA represents multiple nongovernmental and private sector organizations that aim to provide critical support services in vulnerable environments.
At SOSi, Helmick leads the business group that offers logistics and base operations support to U.S. military and coalition forces as well as the State Department.
The retired lieutenant general joined the company in 2012 after a 26-year career at the U.S. Army.
His military career has included roles such as commanding general of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg; deputy commanding general for operations of U.S. Forces-Iraq; and commander of the Multi-National Security Transition Command and NATO Training Mission in Iraq.
