Ashley Bunce, formerly associate director for the National Defense Industrial Association’s Women in Defense affiliate, has been named executive director of WID.
NDIA said Monday Bunce will oversee the organization’s strategic direction, external relationships and programs that seek to facilitate professional networking and leadership development for women in national security.
Craig McKinley, NDIA president and CEO, said Bunce will help WID offer educational and professional development opportunities to women and promote diversity in the national security marketplace.
Bunce served as special assistant to the deputy assistant secretary of defense for community and public outreach prior to joining WID.
WID is an organization that has 20 chapters across the U.S. and works to recognize women and their contributions to the national security sector.
