The Task Force Dagger Foundation and the Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety have teamed up to facilitate clinical research and provide healthcare support for U.S. Special Operations Command servicemembers, veterans and their families.
ACRES will implement an integrated systems model designed for the Moonshot on Cancer program to TFD’s functional medicine approach under the strategic alliance, the non-profit organizations said Monday.
TFD’s Special Operations Forces Health Initiatives Program adopts a functional medicine method that includes biochemical analysis, genetic tests and other diagnostic assessments for environmental and occupational exposures.
TFD’s SOF Health Initiatives Program has partnered with Millennium Health TBI, Elk Institute, Cerescan, EXOS, InLight Wellness, Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and other organizations to provide a health-and-wellness program to service personnel and their dependents.
Bob Stewart, ACRES board member and chief technology officer, directed the establishment of the strategic alliance with Geoffrey Dardia, founding director of the SOF Health Initiatives Program.
Keith David, managing director of TFD, and Greg Koski, president and CEO of ACRES, announced the creation of the partnership.
David said the TFD-ACRES team will work to conduct research and help find treatments for service personnel and their families facing occupational and environmental hazards.
