Peter Wall, a 40-year British army veteran and director of strategic leadership advisory firm Amicus, has been elected to General Dynamics‘ board of directors.
He previously served as director of operations at the U.K. defense ministry, commander-in-chief of the land command and army chief of the general staff before he retired from military service in 2014, General Dynamics said Wednesday.
“Peter brings important insight into the operational requirements of our customers, as well as a deep understanding of UK and global security issues,” said Phebe Novakovic, General Dynamics chairman and CEO.
“We look forward to benefiting from his experience and insights as a member of our board.”
Wall is also an honorary fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering and president of the U.K.-based veterans’ mental health charity Combat Stress.
