Tom Ridge, a former Pennsylvania governor and the first secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, will serve a fifth term as the chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’ National Security Task Force.
The Chamber said Tuesday Ridge has worked as chairman since 2011 where he supported the task force’s goals to unite stakeholders in homeland and national security.
“I am pleased that the Chamber’s National Security Task force will continue to benefit from the leadership, guidance, and expertise Tom Ridge brings as chairman,†said Thomas Donohue, U.S. Chamber president and CEO.
“A longtime leader in the field of national security, Tom understands the importance of breaking down barriers between government and industry to collaborate on policies that strengthen our nation’s security while preserving our free enterprise system.â€
The task force looks to help secure U.S. supply chains, workforce and economy from physical and cyber threats.
