General Dynamics’ land systems business in Canada has been ranked as the country’s No. 1 defense company for 2016 based on a survey conducted by defense and military magazine Canadian Defense Review.
The ranking marks the 12th year of the magazine’s survey of “Canada’s Top Defense Companies,” CDR said Monday.
General Dynamics’ land systems business in Canada is led by Danny Deep and designs and manufactures military vehicles.
CDR Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Peter Kitchen noted that this is the second time for GDLS-C at the top position in the annual ranking.
He also noted the company’s partnership with local subcontractors and hiring of Canadian workers to support programs.
CDR’s editorial staff and independent advisers compose the evaluation panel that ranked defense companies in Canada based on their economic impact, security contributions, corporate integrity and military support.
