Tetra Tech to Help FAA Build Aerospace Medical Info System - top government contractors - best government contracting eventTetra Tech has received a potential five-year, $40 million contract to develop an aviation personnel medical information tracking system for the Federal Aviation Administration.

The company said Tuesday it will provide design, architecture development, test, data analysis, training and deployment support services to FAA under the Aerospace Medicine Safety Information System contract.

Dan Batrack, chairman and CEO of Tetra Tech, said the company will work with the agency’s aerospace medicine office to develop an information technology management system designed to support aviation safety efforts.

AMSIS will be built to help users access and analyze medical information of pilots, air traffic controllers and other safety-critical aviation staff.

FAA intends for the system to support the agency’s Aerospace Medical Research, Airmen Medical Certification  and ATCS Medical Clearance initiatives as well as its Aviation Medical Examiner Program, Industry Drug and Alcohol Testing Program and Internal Substance Abuse Program.
