Raytheon has received a one-year, $37.5 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to support the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile design agent.
The modification exercises options under a previously awarded ESSM program support contract and covers missile technical engineering and in-service support, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
ESSM is an international cooperative effort that seeks to increase ship defense capacities.
The Navy will obligate $10.3 million in fiscal year 2018 “other” procurement funds at the time of award of the modification.
DoD said the sole-source contract award aligns with an international agreement between the U.S. and nine allies.
Raytheon will perform work in Tucson, Arizona; Rauffos, Norway; Ottobrunn, Germany; Hengelo OV, Netherlands; Richmond, Australia; Mississauga, Canada; Madrid, Spain; Ankara, Turkey; Grenaa, Denmark and Koropi, Greece.
