Rockwell Collins and Bluedrop Training and Simulation Inc. have partnered to integrate the companies’ technology offerings and intellectual property in an effort to provide simulation and learning systems to military customers.
“Together we’ll cover the full spectrum — from requirements analysis through instructional execution all on a common software architecture,†Nick Gibbs, vice president and general manager of simulation and training solutions at Rockwell Collins, said in a statement released Wednesday.
The companies have agreed to jointly compete for contracts in the U.S., Canada and other countries to supply training platforms under the teaming agreement.
BTSI will perform work in Canada through its Halifax, Nova Scotia-based facility, while Rockwell Collins will use its Ottawa-based plant and facilities in Virginia, New York, Utah and Iowa to support contract work under the partnership.
Canada-based BTSI is a small to medium-sized enterprise that works to develop simulation and training platforms designed to facilitate training of equipment maintainers and operators.
