On Semiconductor Receives DoD Trusted Test Accreditation for Electronic Component Security

On Semiconductor has achieved the Trusted Test status from the Defense Department‘s Defense MicroElectronics Activity accreditation program for the company’s efforts to address government requirements over the security of electronic components.

Trusted Test will support the work of On Semiconductor’s Trusted-related programs, cycle time, costs and process flow to allow control over supply chains, On Semiconductor said Wednesday.

The accreditation will also work with the semiconductor services provider’s existing Trusted Foundry, Design and Broker statuses to offer Trusted program management for clients.

DoD uses the Trusted Test program to establish a chain of custody, supply chain integrity and defenses against tampering.
