Cherokee Nation Technology Solutions has secured a $17.1 million firm-fixed-price contract to provide support services to the armed forces health surveillance branch of the public health division within the Defense Health Agency‘s healthcare operations directorate.
The Defense Department said Tuesday the contractor will help DHA conduct health surveillance for DoD and assist in the analysis, interpretation and dissemination of health and fitness information regarding target populations.
CNTS will offer on-site scientific, professional, administrative and information technology services such as epidemiology, global emerging infections surveillance, integrated bio-surveillance, data management and technical support, DoD added.
DHA awarded the sole-source contract via the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) program and will obligate the full amount from fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds.
CNTS will perform contract work in Silver Spring, Maryland, and additional DHA locations in Maryland and Ohio through Sept. 14, 2017.
