Lockheed Martin has awarded multiple contracts to Triumph Group to provide structural and engine components for the F-35 Lightning II program.
Triumph said Friday its precision components business will supply aircraft engine mounts, bulkheads, longerons and wing ribs to Lockheed through 2021.
“The F-35 program has afforded us the opportunity to demonstrate that Triumph can compete on higher-level subassemblies,” said Rick Rosenjack, executive vice president of Triumph’s precision components unit.
Triumph currently builds hydraulic valves and drag chute actuators for Norway’s F-35s as well as holdback bars for the F-35C carrier variant.
The new contracts will support Triumph’s organic expansion initiatives, the company noted.
Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based Triump Group offers design, engineering, manufacturing, repair and overhaul services for military and commercial aircraft components, accessories, subassemblies, aerostructures and systems.
