The U.S. Navy has awarded five service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses positions on a potential five-year, $30 million contract to perform construction work in Guam.
Global Engineering Services, M-80 Systems, Pacific Industrial Coatings, Pearl Construction Environmental Service and Relyant Global will compete for task orders under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Navy said Wednesday.
The multiple-award contract has a one-year base term and four one-year options and covers minor maintenance and repair projects, renovation work, safety controls, equipment, permits, materials and transportation.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas awarded the contract through a competitive procurement process with 14 offers received.
Relyant Global has secured the first task order to perform window shutter installation work at 15 homes at Naval Base Guam in Apra Harbor.
The service branch said the order is worth approximately $99,600 and the company is scheduled to complete work by February 2017.
