Mitre and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute have formed an alliance as part of their efforts to help address national security, defense and cyber challenges of their U.S. and Australian government clients.
The partnership allows the two nonprofit organizations to exchange subject matter expertise in the research and strategic assessment, systems engineering and integration and scientific and technology areas, Mitre said Monday.
“Australia and the U.S. are close allies with many shared safety, security and defense interests,” said Jason Bruzdzinski, director of international programs at Mitre’s National Security Engineering Center.
“Cooperation between ASPI and MITRE will help our nations achieve greater capability, capacity and interoperability,” Bruzdzinski added.
The Canberra-based institute conducts research into defense budgeting, force structure, cybersecurity, policing, international law enforcement, counterterrorism and national resilience issues for the Australian government.
