cybersecurityAn L-3 Communications subsidiary has won a $13.4 million delivery order to provide cryptographic and key loading platforms for the U.S. Air Force to secure information.

The Defense Department said Friday that L-3 National Security Solutions will deliver 20 production units of certified common cryptographic core systems and key loaders for military intelligence, garrison and tactical use.

The Air Force received three proposals for the contract through a competitive procurement and is obligating $2,250,000 at the time of award from fiscal 2015 research and development funds.

L-3 National Security Solutions will perform work in Camden, New Jersey, and is scheduled to finish Sept. 30, 2017.
