Raytheon’s missile systems business and optoelectronic devices manufacturer PCO S.A. have teamed up to design and produce night-vision goggles for Poland’s uniformed personnel and international military forces.
Raytheon said Wednesday the letter of intent with the Poland-based company also covers the development of surveillance, targeting and reconnaissance platforms and concept design and production of hardware, optics and video processors for future infrared systems.
Duane Gooden, vice president of land warfare systems product line at Raytheon, said the companies will work to leverage their optoelectronic design experiences to compete in the global market.
Raytheon also agreed to partner with MESKO through an LOI to develop several aerial defense platforms for the Polish armed forces, such as TALON laser-based rocket, Patriot GEM-T missile and Excalibur 155-millimeter artillery projectile.
