The U.S. Navy tasked DCS to develop air traffic control and landing systems for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Webster Outlying Field organization as part of a five-year, $29 million contract.
The company said Wednesday it started working with WOLF personnel under the Technical, Engineering Products and Software Services contract in December and the team will develop, integrate, test, manage and maintain air traffic control systems over the duration of the award.
“DCS brought together small and mid-sized partners to provide a responsive team qualified to fulfill the demanding requirements of air traffic control and landing systems,” said Larry Egbert, an executive vice president and air-sea forces sector manager at DCS.
The ATC&LS division will receive hardware, software and support services from the company via the TEPSS contract.
Alexandria, Virginia-based DCS won a $10.5 million Navy contract in January 2017 to help NAWCAD test and evaluate air vehicles.
Registration is now open for the Potomac Officers Club’s 2021 Navy Forum scheduled for May 12.
