Fairbanks Morse, a manufacturer of marine engines, has established and opened a new service center in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, to accommodate customers from Mayport Naval Station and other nearby operations of the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard.
Technicians at the new Mayport Service Center will maintain and repair motors, engines and control systems for customers, who may also access a wide array of Fairbanks Morse and Ward Leonard products from the facility, Fairbanks Morse said Tuesday.
The new facility takes up 8,000 square feet of space and results from a $350,000 investment.
“From this facility, we are stocking a wide range of inventory to make parts available when and where our customers need them," said George Whittier, CEO of Fairbanks Morse.
He added that the opening of the new facility is in line with the company's plan to deliver more aftermarket services to military and commercial clients through geographic expansion.
