TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 10, 2020 — Nuclear Waste Partnership, a joint venture of Amentum and BWX Technologies (BWXT), will continue to operate the Department of Energy's Waste Isolation Plant in New Mexico under a potential two-year, $296M contract option, GovCon Wire reported Oct. 21.

Amentum said Oct. 20 the exercised option has two six-month extension periods and will bring the total potential value of the contract to more than $2.7B.
