General Dynamics’ information technology business has received a potential five-year, $306M task order to help the Department of Veterans Affairs convert military veteran records to digital format and automate processing of data.
The task order under the Veterans Intake, Conversion and Communication Services contract supports the Veterans Benefits Administration's claims processing operations, GDIT said Thursday.
GDIT added it will integrate artificial intelligence and managed-services technologies into modernization procedures including data extraction for veteran records and processing of Official Military Personnel File requests.
Kamal Narang, vice president and general manager for the federal health sector at GDIT, said the company intends to “completely digitize" VA resources to help the department deliver timely benefits to veterans and their families.
“GDIT is committed to supporting the men and women who have served our country, and we look forward to our continued partnership with the VA,†Narang added.
In August, the business received $338.4M in VBA digitization support task orders under the VICCS indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
