Boeing delivered three KC-46 tanker aircraft to the U.S. Air Force this month, with a total of 16 units delivered so far, Puget Sound Business Journal reported Tuesday. The company plans to deliver three more of the refueler aircraft each month until December, the report noted.

McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas houses nine of the tankers, while five are assigned to Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma. The Air Force has placed orders for 52 KC-46 aircraft. Japan has also ordered two KC-46s.
