Carahsoft Technology and The Quilt have signed a potential five-year master service agreement to offer discounted VMware products and services to the nonprofit organization’s network of regional research and education entities.
The partnership allows Carahsoft to provide VMware hardware, software licenses, cloud services, product support and training at pre-negotiated discount rates to The Quilt members through the organization as well as its reseller partners, Carahsoft said Thursday.
Martin Gavin, The Quilt program manager for Carahsoft, said the discounted pricing will enable The Quilt’s member organizations to “maximize their investment and enable them to better execute their education missions.â€
The competitively procured agreement has a three-year base period that ends in May 2022 as well as two option years.
Based in Seattle, The Quilt is focused on developing, deploying and operating advanced IT services and applications to over 40 networks that represent more than 900 universities, anchor institutions and other educational groups.
