The U.S. Air Force has granted security certification to a Collins Aerospace-developed navigation receiver technology with anti-spoofing and anti-jamming features.
Collins said Wednesday its Common GPS Module demonstrated compliance with the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center's security design specification for hardware and software platforms.
The certification will allow the Department of Defense to deploy M-Code at more locations for Military GPS User Equipment integration and testing efforts. DoD has used almost 800 Collins-made M-Code receivers with different platforms for MGUE activities.
Collins also seeks to market the technology to U.S. allies through the Pentagon's foreign military sales program.
