KLX Aerospace Solutions will rename itself “Boeing Distribution Services” in a move slated to take effect Feb. 4.
The name change notice, published Tuesday, came two months after Boeing completed its purchase of the Florida-based aviation parts and services provider for $3.2B cash.
The Chicago-based aircraft manufacturer said the deal was part of its push to expand offerings for defense, business, commercial and general aviation clients.
KLX offers products to nearly 2.4K manufacturers and sells 1M catalog items.
Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing’s global services business, said at the time of acquisition the combined firm aims to provide a “one-stop shop†for customers.
