CGI has received a potential seven-year, $281 million contract to update, maintain and operate a technology platform used to process payroll and case management data for home care services providers across the state of California.
The company said Tuesday it will integrate new tools into the Case Management Information and Payrolling System built to manage personal care services for more than 550,000 elderly, blind and disabled citizens, as well as process the payroll of nearly 500,000 workers who provide these services.
“CMIPS technology enables service providers to be paid, and for case workers to manage home services to help ensure safety, community living and quality-of-life for service recipients,” said Dave Delgado, a CGI senior vice president.
California aims to simplify CMIPS functions and facilitate self-service for HSS program recipients and providers.
CGI noted it will develop automated payroll, business intelligence and reporting technologies under the project.
