Booz Allen Hamilton has secured a five-year, $43 million task order to provide the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center with assistance in developing, testing and evaluating protective combat gear.
Under the task order, awarded in March through the Air Force Installation Contract Agency, Booz Allen will provide technical input on the conceptualization and human integration of personal protective equipment such as body armor, protective eyewear and helmet systems, the company said Tuesday.
Booz Allen’s long history of support for the Defense Department began when the company won its first U.S. Navy contract in 1940.
