ISARA has tapped Hawkins Group to serve as its cybersecurity adviser as the former works with the federal government to protect sensitive data from quantum computing-related cyber threats.
Hawkins Group will offer advice as cybersecurity firm ISARA collaborates with the Defense Department to ensure the security of classified documents and high-value assets in preparation for the large-scale use of quantum computers to process data, ISARA said Thursday.
“Quantum capability presents an entirely new threat to the United States and its allies. It’s vital that we are armed with security measures that recognize both the power and potential of quantum computing,†said Ronnie Hawkins, a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant general and former director of the Defense Information Systems Agency.
Hawkins Group is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business that provides information technology and cybersecurity advisory services to clients in federal and commercial sectors.
