Raymond Odierno, former chief of staff at the U.S. Army, has joined Oshkosh‘s board of directors as its 12th member.
The retired Army general brings leadership experience, military and international expertise to the specialty vehicle manufacturing company, Wilson Jones, Oshkosh president and CEO, said in a statement released released Wednesday.
Odierno’s 39-year military career includes service during the Persian Gulf and Iraq wars.
He was one of the two U.S. officers who commanded the service branch’s 4th Infantry Division after the Vietnam War.
Odierno also served as a senior adviser to the Secretary of State on international relations and politico-military issues.
He holds a master’s degree in nuclear effects engineering from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree in national security and strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
