Science Applications International Corp. has partnered with Community DNS to introduce a suite of cybersecurity and intelligence service offerings designed to protect information technology platforms from distributed denial of service attacks.
SAIC said Wednesday the services will work to help clients avoid DDoS and other domain name system-based attacks without requiring them to purchase software or hardware.
“Together, we are working to provide customers with solutions that address a top pain point without requiring burdensome network software deployments,” said Paul Welch, vice president of SAIC’s cyber solutions business.
The as-a-service offering targets DDoS attacks on or near the point of attack to keep a website running despite hackers’ efforts to overwhelm that site with malicious requests.
SAIC noted the services also seek to eliminate cache poisoning or “man-in-the-middle” attacks on DNS; facilitate communications between in-network users when internet access is limited; and boost cyber threat detection with near real-time border gateway protocol data.
