Lockheed Martin has received a $50.9 million contract modification to produce and engineer twin line towed-array sonars for the U.S. Navy.
The company will supply two TL-29A systems as well as provide one spare array and refurbishment services to the program executive office for submarines at the service branch’s Maritime Surveillance Systems Program Office, the Defense Department said Friday.
DoD noted the modification will increase the contract’s potential value to $151.9 million.
The Navy will obligate $11,525 at the time of award from its fiscal 2017 operations and procurement funds.
