Alion Science and Technology has secured a spot on a potential five-year, $34 million multiple-award contract to support the U.S. Navy‘s communications function.
The company said Thursday it aims to provide global communications and media support services to the Chief of Naval Information Command through the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Vince Stammetti, senior vice president of the rapid solutions group at Alion, said the company will collaborate with CHINFO to assess the Navy’s social media presence and help define training for the service branch’s public affairs officers.
Task areas under the contract are media relations, communications integrations and strategy, community outreach, visual information support and professional and community development facilitation.
