The federal business of Accenture has secured a potential five-year, $62 million contract to configure and update the Veterans Benefits Administration‘s information technology infrastructure.
Accenture Federal Services will render user-centered design, project management, requirements identification, configuration, content creation, testing and training support for Salesforce-based IT applications that VBA personnel, military veterans and their families use, Accenture said Thursday.
Shawn Roman, a managing director at AFS, said the company aims to leverage its previous experience in service design and Salesforce configuration to help VBA scale the agency’s benefits programs through IT enhancements.
Roman added that the company will enlist its Accenture Federal Digital Studio and recently acquired Phase One Consulting Group to support the project with VBA.
The contract has a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options.
Work will cover functional upgrades to VBA’s Workload and Time Reporting System, Quality Management System, Medical Exam Quality Review System and Education Liaison Compliance tool.
