The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program office has published a request for information to gather industry feedback on the U.S. government’s process to buy cloud technology platforms and inclusion of security requirements in contract language.
FedRAMP said Thursday it partnered with the General Services Administration‘s Secure Cloud Portfolio team to explore strategies to standardize language in commercial cloud contracts as part of an effort to help federal agencies adopt platforms that comply with security requirements.
Responses to the RFI notice will help FedRAMP to identify contract language samples and update guidelines for government acquisition officials and contracting professionals.
Industry can submit input through the program’s GitHub account.
