Boundless has released a new geographic information system platform designed to help organizations publish data to web applications, desktop clients and mobile devices.
The company said Tuesday Boundless Server is based on open-source geospatial technology and open application programming interfaces that allow enterprise users to obtain insights from location-based data.
Server is built to integrate with ArcGIS services and web apps, as well as supports MBTiles file format and publishing content in GeoServices REST format.
The company also renamed its flagship Boundless Suite offering as Boundless Server.
Anthony Calamito, chief geospatial officer at Boundless, said the rebranding effort seeks to emphasize the company’s efforts to innovate and evolve its GIS products.
