GigaTrust has launched a new document and email collaboration platform that works to help suppliers comply with the Defense Department’s security standards for email collaboration and file sharing activities.
The company said Wednesday it is deploying the GigaCloud platform as a “community of interest†option for DoD suppliers that seek to comply with a National Institute of Standards and Technology policy that requires vendors to safeguard controlled unclassified information in nonfederal data systems.
GigaCloud is a software-as-a-service offering designed to help government suppliers, financial services firms, health care institutions and other organizations share documents on mobile devices, personal computers and file storage tools.
The launch of the new platform came less than a month after GigaTrust partnered with Forcepoint, Raytheon’s cyber services business and Internet Content Management to build a platform designed to help DoD suppliers comply with NIST’s Special Publication 800-171 for CUI protection.
Suppliers have until Dec. 31 to comply with the NIST policy.
