Leidos has been awarded a potential three-year, $17 million task order to help the Defense Threat Reduction Agency model and simulate chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats.
The company said Thursday it will support web-based joint assessment tools that work to facilitate collaboration among subject matter experts and help the Defense Department and other government agencies respond to CBRNE incidents.
The order contains one base year plus two option years and falls under Leidos’ Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction Research and Technology Development contract.
“The tools developed under this contract will provide U.S. government agencies and warfighters timely and actionable information that is critical to planning for and responding to CBRNE events throughout the world,” said Mike Chagnon, a Leidos group president.
The company will perform work in California, Virginia and Nebraska.
