Leidos has obtained a silver medal-level award designation on Victory Media‘s 2017 list of Military Friendly Employers.
The government science and technology services company said Tuesday the list recognizes top companies that offer civilian job opportunities, hiring practices and retention programs for transitioning service members.
“We are particularly honored to receive this award as it is a recognition of our company’s commitment to work with those who have made the sacrifice to serve and continue to serve our country,” said Ann Addison, Leidos’ chief human resources officer.
Companies vied for the designation through a data-driven survey with criteria that includes a benchmark score for programs and policies such as employment, opportunity, advancement, culture, commitment, support and retention, Leidos noted.
Twenty percent of Leidos’ workforce is comprised of veterans and the company runs a military veteran outreach program called Operation MVP.
Leidos works with military transition centers, military associations and veteran organizations under Operation MVP to identify and employ retiring military veterans.
