Charles River Analytics has secured a potential $3.75 million contract to help the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity develop probabilistic relational models as part of IARPA’s insider threat detection program.
The company said Monday it formed a team comprised of Assured Information Security, Applied Marketing Science and Cognitio to support the Scientific advances to Continuous Insider Threat Detection Program.
The consortium will also use the Figaro open-source programming language to build models for the Probabilistic Relational Inference Modeling for Enterprises effort, Charles River added.
“In PRIME, we’re developing tools to create and use probabilistic models of inference enterprises that can be used to evaluate and forecast the performance of enterprise-level inference processes, such as detecting personnel conducting industrial espionage in large corporations,†said Brian Ruttenberg, senior scientist at Charles River and principal investigator of the PRIME effort.
The SCITE program seeks new active indicators and inference enterprise models to help potential threats within an organization.
Charles River said the contract has a one-year base value of $1.25 million and two options worth up to $2.5 million.
