CH2M has been selected to help Nevada’s Transportation Department develop a vision and policy framework for autonomous vehicle and connected vehicle programs in the state.
CH2M said Tuesday the new framework will work to establish policy, standards and legislation to be integrated with the state’s political environment in a push to establish the state of Nevada’s capacity to bring concepts to reality.
The framework will utilize state infrastructure and real estate, promote collaborative policies, standards and programs, identify and form private sector partnerships, expand transportation development efforts and modernize freight mobility through the state.
Susan Martinovich, CH2M highways and bridges director, said the firm will work to help Nevada utilize emerging technologies to foster economic development.
