NCI has received a potential five-year, $63 million task order for engineering and integration support services at the U.S. Army Garrison–Humphreys in South Korea.
The task order was awarded by the Army’s Information Systems Engineering Command through the Total Engineering and Information Systems III contract vehicle and contains one base year plus up to four option years, NCI said Wednesday.
The company will support C4I and information technology systems and infrastructure at Camp Humphreys as part of the military branch’s Korea Transformation/Yongsan Relocation Plan/Land Partnership Plan.
Work will be performed at the garrison’s Communications Center, Battle Command Training Center, U.S. Forces Korea Operations Center and Army 2nd Infantry Division.
The project also includes the relocation of C4I assets from Yongsan to other locations in northern Seoul for the United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea from Yongsan.
“Over the last seven years, our work has supported the U.S. Forces Command and Defense Information Systems Agency headquarters base realignment and closure projects,” said Brian Clark, NCI president and CEO.
Clark added the project provides the company with an opportunity to establish a presence in the Korean peninsula as well as to expand its C4I/IT support services in the Pacific theater.
The number of soldiers, civilians and family members based at Camp Humphreys is projected to increase from 9,000 to 44,000, NCI noted.
