networkFour Allied Telesis-developed X-series managed switches have passed the Defense Department‘s Joint Interoperability Test Command Unified Capabilities certification and have been certified to connect to the Defense Switched Network.

Allied Telesis said Tuesday the certified AT-x930, AT-x510, AT-x310 and AT-DC2552 switches feature the AlliedWare Plus Layer 3 operating system designed to support ease of management and robustness.

Philip Yim, Allied Telesis senior vice president for global programs, said the company works to boost federal partnerships with its X-series switching technology and build on the company’s history of work with federal clients.

Yim added the certification helps demonstrate the company’s readiness to deliver network systems for defense networks.
