Logos Technologies has introduced a sensor designed for installation on aerostats to perform intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance functions.
John Marion, president of Logos Technologies, said in a statement released Tuesday Kestrel KS-200 is an 80-pound wide-area motion imagery sensor that works to provide “a 360-degree view of an entire city-sized area, simultaneously tracking multiple objects of interest both day and night.â€
The new Kestrel WAMI system is available for export to international customers and is designed to be integrated with twin video cameras onboard the U.S. Army’s Persistent Threat Detection System aerostats.
The company said it will launch the Kestrel KS-200 sensor at the Association of the U.S. Army’s three-day Annual Meeting & Exposition that is set to kick off on Oct. 3 in Washington.
Logos will also exhibit its other two WAMI sensors, Simera and Redkite RK-50, at the AUSA event.
