Vricon has been awarded a sole-source contract by the General Services Administration to provide geospatial data services to the U.S. Army‘s Geospatial Center.
McLean, Virginia-based Vricon said Friday the contract covers the provision of a digital surface model with 10-meter-resolution postings that will work to cover an entire country.
The company will also supply its 0.5m-resolution Vricon Data Suite that includes the 3D Surface Model, DSM, Point Cloud and True Ortho tools to the center to provide geospatial coverage for specific areas around the globe.
Vricon aims to build a three-dimensional model of the globe through photorealistic 3D products and digital elevation models.
The Army Geospatial Center, a major subordinate command center under the Army Corps of Engineers, provides geospatial engineering support to the Department of Defense and intelligence community.
