AECOM has secured a potential six-year, $19.2 million contract from the Dallas Independent School District for continued program management services to support the school district’s 2015 bond program.
AECOM said Thursday the contract covers oversight and coordination of designers, consultants, contractors and vendors; program controls; tracking the participation of minority- and women-owned businesses; and coordination of safety programs.
The school district’s $1.6 billion bond program for 2015 includes the construction of nine new and replacement schools, 19 classroom addition projects, educational adequacy upgrades and new educational programs in the district, AECOM added.
“We look forward to continuing our 14-year relationship with the Dallas Independent School District and partnering with the district to provide students with quality learning environments,” said Fred Werner, AECOM group president for design and consulting services.
The Dallas Independent School District, the second-largest school district in Texas, serves approximately 160,000 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
AECOM previously supported the school district’s 2002 and 2008 bond programs.
