AECOM, Pick Everard and Gleeds joint venture Perfect Circle has been awarded two lots under the four-year, approximate $800 million SCAPE Consultancy framework from U.K. The joint venture will deliver the Built Environment and Infrastructure Consultancy lots for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The framework will provide property and infrastructure consultancy services.

AECOM has partnered with Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) and Columbia University to monitor COVID-19 ribonucleic acid (RNA) in wastewater, which can be a leading indicator of infection rates, in the BCUA sewer shed. The team has collected, tested and analyzed more than 650 samples, with results indicating that wastewater monitoring statistically provides a seven- to ten-day leading indicator of reported COVID-19 cases.

AECOM has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its civil construction business, including its Shimmick Construction business, to Oroco Capital. AECOM had added new leadership to its board of directors to strengthen the company's strategy and drive value. AECOM  has nominated Diane Creel and Sander van't Noordende as new independent directors for election to its Board of Directors at the company's 2021 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, which is expected to take place on Feb. 24, 2021. 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded AECOM a $25 million design contract to renovate the U.S. Air Force Academy's Sijan Hall, marking the first modernization project at the dormitory since it was built in 1968. AECOM's design work will cover residential, academic, courtyard and recreational spaces.

AECOM has updated a scenario-planning technology to help transit agencies determine the potential effects of travel disruptions and the resulting changes in commuting options and policies brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

AECOM has sold its Power construction business to affiliates of CriticalPoint Capital. AECOM has integrated its Design and Consulting Services (DCS) businesses into one global organization as part of the company's phased strategy. The new unit will be led by Lara Poloni, AECOM's president. “Our greatest opportunity is to fully capitalize on the expertise that is inherent across our organization by thinking and acting as one global company,“ said Troy Rudd, AECOM's CEO.

AECOM has partnered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support critical national airspace system operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company reported on Monday. To date, AECOM has completed 63 tasks in 23 states. AECOM's team of environmental and disaster response experts, supported by the company's disinfection partners, began helping the FAA maintain continuity of airspace operations after the COVID-19 outbreak in the U.S.

AECOM has appointed Gaurav Kapoor, current chief accounting officer of the company, as chief financial officer (CFO), Douglas Stotlar as independent chairman of the Board of Directors and Troy Rudd as director of the Board, effective Aug. 15. Bradley Buss has been appointed to the AECOM Board of Directors, effective August 10th.

AECOM has named Chief Financial Officer Troy Rudd to the position of CEO and appointed Lara Poloni, chief executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa operations, as president of the Los Angeles-based infrastructure services provider.

AECOM has set up a temporary healthcare facility that would support COVID-19 relief efforts in Larimer County, Colo., under a contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
