CDW Government has won a $30 million task order to supply 27,961 laptops to the U.S. Navy in support of computer refresh efforts under the service branch’s Next Generation Enterprise Network Computer program.
The Marine Corps Systems Command awarded the delivery order under the firm-fixed-price contract that was subjected to a competitive acquisition process with 12 bids received, the Defense Department said Thursday.
NGEN is a follow-on program to the Navy Marine Corps Intranet contract vehicle and is designed to function as an acquisition process for the Department of the Navy’s enterprisewide network services consolidated in 2000 under NMCI, which offers information technology services to at least 700,000 users.
Work will occur in North Las Vegas, Nevada, through Nov. 25, 2016.
The service branch will obligate the full contract amount from Marine Corps’ procurement funds for fiscal 2016, according to DoD.
