Charles River Analytics has been awarded a $400,000 contract from the Office of Naval Research to develop a multi-source naval analytics and analytic services framework for warfighting environments as part of the Navy‘s branch-wide tactical cloud computing project.
The Navy is developing its Tactical Cloud Reference Implementation to create on-demand access for shared sensors and computing resources, Charles River said Wednesday.
TCRI is intended to help warfighters navigate uncertainty in their domains, manage an influx of data from modern sensors and networks and limited time and costs to create unique analytics for specific data sources.
Charles River will develop Navalytics to help with those areas in conjunction with the company’s Figaro programming language when combined with a reusable framework build to develop analytics that can be used multiple times.
The company added it will modify Figaro to be compatible with big data-enabled algorithms and for use in domains such as real-time health monitoring, threat assessment and intelligence analysis.
