Harris Corp. has received orders worth $66 million to supply Falcon III wideband tactical radios and accessories to a Middle East nation as part of an effort to modernize the client’s communications program.
The company will deliver various Falcon III radio configurations for long-range environments, mobile ad hoc networking and narrowband data capabilities to the customer, Harris said Monday.
Brendan O’Connell, president of Harris’ tactical communications business, said the radios work to support high-bandwidth and secure voice and data communication needs.
He added that the company will help the client transition to wideband, networked communications through advanced tactical radio technology.
Harris will also provide vehicular systems, accessories and training services to the Middle East nation.
