Booz Allen Hamilton predicts that lean processes for IT development and a shift toward a collaborative culture will drive government technology acquisitions in 2016.
The company said Monday agile processes and partnerships with Silicon Valley are two trends that agencies will see as they work to meet mission requirements and reduce costs.
“In the year ahead, agency leaders will find that the tools and processes they have at their disposal — DevOps, Agile — will not only assist in their commitment to innovation but also spur a new way of thinking across the organization,” said Gary Labovich, executive vice president of Booz Allen’s systems delivery segment.
Other government technology trends for 2016 include modular and microservice-based system architecture, open source utilities for systems delivery, system resiliency and management support for agile processes, Booz Allen added.
